We’re beginning to see the light on gold suction dredging, where the EPA and state water boards’ main concern is supposed to be: bringing pollutants into a river or the waters of the United States. They haven’t followed that premise because of the politics of California’s Governor Brown and his appointed anti-suction mining appointees not wanting any suction mining in the state of California. The feeling now with this administration is that the water board and the EPA should concentrate on pollution brought into a river. This has nothing to do with taking things out of a river and putting it right back in again. It’s as if you took your spoon dipped into a bowl of chili, pulled out some chili and put it right back in again. So we’ll see how far we get under that premise.
