A couple years ago when the RINEHART case was appealed to the United States Supreme Court, the court asked the U.S. Solicitor General if RINEHART should be heard. The Solicitor General recommended that the case NOT be heard... as some of the issues were less than clear (such as the "moratorium" hinting the ban was temporary, Rinehart was a Defendant charged with dredging without a permit, etc.)... and in part because (according to the Solicitor) there was a clearer case developing in Oregon.
BOHMKER v OREGON is that "clearer case".
WE NEED AS MANY LETTERS AS WE CAN GET SENT TO OFFICIALS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
URGING THE U.S. SOLICITOR GENERAL TO FILE AN AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF WITH THE SUPREME COURT
RECOMMENDING BOHMKER v OREGON BE HEARD.
THIS IS "YOUR CHANCE" TO HELP...
Please go to the Waldo Mining District website where you will find more information on the BOHMKER case, and a link to THE LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN where you will find PRINTABLE SAMPLE LETTERS to President Trump, U.S. Asst. AG Clark, and to U.S. Solicitor General Franscisco.
RIGHT NOW, OUR BIGGEST HURDLE IS GETTING HEARD. WE NEED THE U.S. SOLICITOR TO RECOMMEND THE COURT TAKE OUR CASE. WE CAN'T WIN UNLESS THE COURT TAKES OUR CASE...
PLEASE, EVERYONE, HELP US SAVE MINING.
A WIN IN BOHMKER WILL GO LONG WAY TO OPEN CALIFORNIA WATERS TO MINING ONCE AGAIN, AND KEEP THESE PROHIBITORY ANTI-MINING LAWS FROM SPREADING TO OTHER STATES.
