I'll just bring some particle masks with me.

And today the smoke was very light. Even in heavy smoke days it seems to be less smoky the further upriver you get from Happy Camp.
I guess you will just to take your chances and bring your particle masks.

Re: California Water Quality is aggressively working on a water permit that will support suction dredging!

I wanted to add to this post by Dave so that folks can keep up on this issue for themselves. I know that many don't care to read long topics and even fewer go to any links within long posts. So in that respect I thought I would post a couple of important links that Dave included in his post on this ...

No Jim, not in Hamburg, just upriver in Horse Creek. I don't have a lead on any quartz, but do know where to find some California Jade.

Re: New forum provider and formatting

We are still tweaking features as we find them. If you poke around the board and look at features you can do in posts you will see some neat stuff. Even just reading posts you will find features such as; there is a "thank you" button which acts as a "like" button. This is where you can thank a perso...

Re: New forum provider and formatting

Thanks Tom, but I really have to credit my wife Linda with most of the board set up. I tweaked settings and stuff, but she did the major hard stuff. Thanks Jim for all the hard work on this forum and all the other ways you have helped the New 49er's over the years. We could not have a better friend.

Guidelines for posting

For sale or wanted items need not be mining related. Sell anything you like as long as it's legal. Please keep in mind that your items will sell a lot better with pictures of the item and a price. People want to see what they are buying and posting a picture will keep them from having to ask for one...
