Re: Somebody has to be doing something

Great story mendoAu. It's always wonderful when we have good friends we can give a helping hand to. Your friend looks real pretty in her dredging outfit, I bet she is a real help at times.

Re: Gold Cube

There are no club restrictions about moving material far from the stream. If you are outside of the 300 ft. zone you will probably not get any grief from fish and game. They know the rules and will verify by GPS.

Re: How To Post A Picture

Good question Harry. I think I have set the file size so that it will allow most pictures. Although it may be a good idea to re-size if possible. Generally speaking, smaller pictures come out sharper. Many times huge pictures are bigger than our screen and most people do not like to have to scroll s...

Re: The River

OK, a month has passed since I made the original thread. Smoke has been minimal upriver from Seiad Valley since that time. As of today (9/27) we have mostly smoke free conditions. The river remains very low at this time, so it should be a good time to get at places that are normally underwater. Salm...

An Alaskan Adventure

This short story doesn't have much to do with gold mining except that we were going upriver to my claims to dredge. I had my five inch triple sluice stashed far upriver. One fine summer day I was going in to my claim to dredge and had a young Russian guy with me that wanted to see what it was all ab...
