Re: Water Boards Adopted Permit Scheme
Even though it appears that motorized dredging will "eventually " become legal ....a few different agencies have designated M A N Y rivers and streams off limits. It happens to be rivers and streams that are gold bearing and worthwhile to mine. Yes , this struggle is being fought on many levels . Ge...

Re: Underwater sluicing ........
Well you are probably heading to the claim now . I need to hear that "almost drowned" story ! Yikes. We found enough color to keep us excited . My partner got started on the 2nd day, before I arrived and actually pulled a nugget right off of the bedrock with his gloved hand. I dont see a lot of bedr...

Re: Underwater sluicing ........
Well , the jet nozzle set up didn't produce enough flow . We put the suction hose at the top of the 4 inch pvc supply line and tied the other end into the sluice . Great suction and flow ! We probably siphoned for about 1.5 hours . Found some colors in each of two pans that I panned. We will siphon ...

Re: Underwater sluicing ........
I am going to set up the "syphon Sluice" today . Initially I will use 100 ft of 4" PVC down the creek to an 1-1/2" flex hose and then to the jet nozzle and into the sluice. There is a 4" suction hose hooked to the jet nozzle. 10 ft long. If I don't produce enough suction , then I will hook the 4 inc...

Yes it is ! Sorry I missed a few letter there in the address : / I would LOVE to see this get some traction ! Its the same sort of thing as Jefferson BUT , Jefferson isnt going about things in a Constitutional manner , that is why they lose in court every time . New California IS going about it base...

Re: Hello all from the Great State Of Texas
I think you could do this easily, but I do not think you will have enough pressure to operate a suction nozzle on the downstream end of your hose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKbVM_JW3Qs You are very possibly right on the pressure. I love the video you sent , I found others also on youtube . Go...

Re: Hello all from the Great State Of Texas
Yes , you get roughly just under .5 psi per foot of head so your numbers make sense . But .... that is static head , not "moving" water pressure. It does not really account for velocity, momentum of the water. The larger the diameter of the pipe , the less resistance , or "friction loss" that you ha...
